Actively combating cardiac disease and stroke

The Swiss Heart Foundation campaigns to 

• Reduce the number of people suffering from cardiovascular disease and strokes
• Stop cardiovascular disease causing permanent disability or premature death
• Ensure that life is still worth living for those affected.

The Swiss Heart Foundation was established in 1967 by a group of proactive doctors. This is the only charitable organisation working nationally throughout Switzerland in the area of cardiovascular disease. As well as actively promoting research, it also provides information and advice for patients and their relatives and supports disease prevention and health promotion activities in the mainstream population.
